Here's the scenario: your best friend has moved to Thailand for two years. Naturally, it's too far for a casual walk but you still want to socialize and drink heavily with them.
Solution? Do what these kids did over Memorial Day weekend and set up some "virtual beer pong," AKA playing beer pong using Macs and live video chat. Patrick and Erin played several rounds of beer pong with Scott and Mary, who are located in Hawaii. Double salute to Mary, because it was only 2 pm in Hawaii and she had to go to work when the games were done.
The set up is unbelievably easy, and the game play went along as fine- all you need is a couple Macs, maybe some extra speakers, and beer pong accoutrements. It's an excellent way to interact with your faraway fellow alcoholics.
I haven't been this excited about a beer pong innovation since we heard about a possible Wii Beer Pong game.
