In yet another effort to deny our Southern frattiness, Vanderbilt is launching a full time and fully staffed Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Office in the fall. 

The K.C Potter GBLT Center will be named after token gay ex-Dean K.C Potter (see adorable smirking man in overalls in bottom picture). Earlier this year, a Vanderbilt undergad allegedly attacked a gay couple on campus. 

Hmm...do I smell quick cover up? 

Jokes aside though, this is a great breakthrough for Vandy. Adorable, liberal, Jewish Chancellor Zeppos, who, before his appointment to the position, had commisioned a report on gay life at Vanderbilt, is "grateful" for the establishment.

So are we.
