Contrary to popular belief, Northwestern has parties. It's just that the parties occur between the hours of 11 pm and 12:30 am, which is apparently the only time of night that residents living in a college town can tolerate the noise.

Recent party break-ups of note:

1. An off-campus DU party was broken up by about 11:40 pm, quite possibly a land speed record in Evanston. DU, a frat that should be sitting pretty after the loss of Delt, suddenly looks like they might follow Delt all the way to the kicked-off-campus grave.
2. A Ridge and Noyes party was broken up after reports of a fight involving a stolen handle of liquor, a girl getting punched by the thieving boy, and the understandably angry boyfriend going after the thief with a paddle of sorts.
3. A party on Foster was broken up most likely as a result of the 20+ people smoking pot in the backyard. Smoking weed? Fine. Smoking weed outside when you live next door to a family with a toddler? Not so much. Onlookers from an unbusted party just feet away happily continued to underage drink as the Foster party took the full force of the po-po.
