After defeating Purdue and Michigan State to end the regular season, OSU had a chance to take on MSU one more time to cement a NCAA Tournament bid.
Playing in front of an Indianapolis crowd today at 2:30, the Buckeyes failed to keep their magic alive. Despite a valiant effort by Kosta Koufos and his 19 points, Drew Neitzel was too much. Neitzel made 28 points and dominated the entire game. Jamar Butler was a non-factor for most of the game while in foul trouble.
With this loss, OSU is at the will of the selection committee on Sunday. Their resume includes wins over Purdue, Michigan State, Florida and a winning record in the Big Ten.
