After a 4-game losing streak seemed to end the Buckeyes' chances of another March NCAA tournament, OSU stepped it up and beat Purdue to end their skid. With only one game left in the regular season, Thad Matta stood at 18-12 and in NCAA Limbo.
In front of a sold out, snowed out crowd the Buckeyes overcame an eight point first half deficit to defeat the Spartans. With a final of 63-54, the Buckeyes have re-opened discussions of Jamar Butler and crew into Bracketology. With an RPI inside the Top 50 (presumably) and a 10-8 record in the Big Ten, the Buckeyes only need a decent showing in the Big Ten Tournament to cement themselves as an At-Large Bid.
One of OSU's biggest contenders for an At-Large Bid, Florida, lost earlier today to Kentucky.
