Can we Still Make the NIT?
Another day, another loss for the Buckeyes basketball team. Hanging in close for the first half, OSU simply got demolished in the second half against a solid Minnesota home team.

From the box score, OSU and Minnesota look similar. Both shot well (41 and 44%), and neither had too many turnovers (9 and 13). The difference was Minnesota's clutch free throw shooting. The Gophers finished 22-25 from the free throw line and solidified themselves as a potential bubble team for the NCAA tournament.

The Buckeyes heading into last week were hoping to solidify their position, but have instead killed their chances. Their last hope for a tournament bid is to win the Big Ten tournament, which is hard for a team that is 8-8 in conference play and not one quality win. At 17-12, the question now becomes: Can we even make the NIT?
