This summer, all i can think about is being away from my boring  hometown as much as possible. I don't want to see my ex boyfriend, hang out at the same places I used to in high school, and I need a change of scenery. If you find yourself in a similar situation, do as the Noles do and study abroad!

FSU has a long established Study Abroad program. It may seem early to start thinking about summer but spots fill up really fast and the due date is soon arriving. The locations range from England to Australia to China to the Republic of Panama. The summer programs last 4 to 6 weeks and are specific to individual majors or general studies.

This is my personal plan for the summer and I can't wait. While my friends are at home drinking natty in someone's garage I'll be sipping wine (legally) in Paris. It's a great opportunity to get college credit towards my major and expand my view of the world in the meantime.

The program covers courses, lodging, often times meals, and some excursions. Classes are much more of a hands-on ordeal. Why study art in books when you can see it in person? Also, with a weak dollar throughout the world, now is a better time than ever to travel overseas.

It's an expensive endeavor, but well worth they money. So, apply now and put studying abroad on the top of your list for Santa! Maybe I'll see you in Europe this summer?
