Former OSU and Current Steelers Wide Receiver Santonio Holmes Pulled Over, Caught Getting High

As an Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver, Santonio Holmes caught 243 passes for 2,295 yards, but these days Holmes is busy getting caught passing blunts. The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was caught last night with three blunts in his car and now faces legal action.

The Boston Herald reports:

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes will be mailed a summons by police who say they found marijuana-filled cigars known as blunts in his car during a traffic stop.

Police say the 24-year-old, third-year player, didn’t have his license when police stopped him Thursday about 4 p.m. near Mellon Arena. A police sergeant says Holmes pointed out three blunts after officers smelled the odor of burning marijuana.

A Steelers spokesman says the team is still gathering information and will not comment.

Understandably the stoned Holmes wasn’t exactly on his A-game, but who points out his weed when stopped by the police? Looks like this time, Holmes isn’t doing the catching, he’s just getting caught.
