According to much gossip, 4 Kegs is closing. The rumors have been spreading like wildfire. This cannot be confirmed or denied after some research.

The bar had come under some scrutiny recently by both the media and the students. When an undercover investigation came out, most bars changed to 21 and up. Then, with plummeting sales, some made the switch back to 18 and up. With underage kids assuredly being supplied with beer in some sort of way, this could be the reason why it is shutting down. However, some people have said that it is for remodeling purposes.

If it is true (and everyone knows it probably is), then many Freshmen will be on the verge of tears when they come back to campus in January. 4 Kegs is probably the most cliche Freshman bar. It seems like a right of passage for some to get Liquid Dope night in their weekly schedule.
