Official OSU Rules: ****

It is about time we, as an OSU community, decide on the final rules for drinking games. Anyone else annoyed with going to a house party, sitting down to play a game, and spending fifteen minutes figuring out the rules to go by? This week we chronicle "****", a card game for a smaller gathering of people. If you'd like to add rules or suggestions, feel free to comment.

Name: ****

Alternate Names: Presidents and ****s

Required Equipment: Deck of cards, beer

Number of People: Generally 4-6

Setup: Shuffle the cards and deal them out evenly. The **** is the one who shuffles and deals, except the first hand, which is just random. If there are not enough cards for each person on the last round of dealing, the cards go to people in order of their rank from President -> ****, unless it is the first hand, where it will just be dealt in order.

Special Cards: There are three special cards: 2s, 5s and 6s. The 2 is a clear, it gets rid of the cards and allows the player to go again. The 5 is a skip, which skips the next player who must also drink. A 6 means social and the play continues to the left.

Play: The 3 of clubs leads off. After that players must beat the current card on the table, i.e. an ace would have to be played if a king is up. If a player plays the same card, the next person is skipped and must drink. If you have the remaining cards of one rank, you may play them to complete the square, even if it's not your turn. This starts a waterfall. If a player plays doubles, the next player must play the same rank card, doubles of higher, triples of higher or quads of higher rank. If a player is unable to play, he must drink. If no one is able to play in the circle, the cards are cleared and whoever put down the last card (including special cards) begins.

Game Over When: When a player is down to one card, he must announce "Uno", or he must drink. When he is able to lay his final card, he is out and is delegated the next rank (Starting at President, then 2, 3, 4...****). Play continues to decide remaining ranks.

Special/Optional Rules: The president may make a rule, i.e. you can't say the word "beer", if someone breaks the rule they must drink. A higher ranked player may tell a lower ranked player to drink. **** must get the beers, shuffle and deal, but during the deal may tell anyone to drink. You cannot finish with a special card, anyone stuck with a special card is automatically ****. Trivia questions can be asked to determine the path of the waterfall.
