Official OSU Rules: Eights

Official OSU Rules: Eights

It is about time we, as an OSU community, decide on the final rules for drinking games. Anyone else annoyed with going to a house party, sitting down to play a game, and spending fifteen minutes figuring out the rules to go by? This week we chronicle "Eights", a quick and simple card game. If you'd like to add rules or suggestions, feel free to comment.

Name: Eights

Alternate Names: How Far

Required Equipment: Deck of Cards

Number of People: 4-6

Setup: Take the four 8s out of the deck and line them up in the middle. Deal the cards.

Play: Order goes in a clockwise motion and the players must place cards on the 8 to make a chain. If you can place a card 1 above or below any of the cards on the table, you give out however many cards in that suit have been played. If you cannot, you place a card nearest to a card laid and take 2 drinks for every space between your card and the next closest.

Game Over When: Cards are all gone.

Special/Optional Rules: Whoever finishes off a suit initiates a waterfall.
