Official OSU Rules: Flip Pong

Official OSU Rules: Flip Pong

It is about time we, as an OSU community, decide on the final rules for drinking games. Anyone else annoyed with going to a house party, sitting down to play a game, and spending fifteen minutes figuring out the rules to go by? This week we chronicle "Flip Pong", a game that is taking the nation by storm. If you'd like to add rules or suggestions, feel free to comment.

Name: Flip Pong

Alternate Names: Cup Flip Pong, Flip Cup-Pong

Required Equipment: Table, 2 Ping Pong Balls, Many Cups

Number of People: Best with two teams of 5 or two teams of 10

Setup: Make the Beer Pong setup and the Flip Cup setup on the same table. Fill each cup with beer.

Play: The game begins like a regular Flip Cup game. Then when the last person flips their cup, they grab a ping pong ball and shoot at the cups until they make it. The person at the front of the Flip Cup line rebounds. When one cup is made, the person goes to the front of the line and they repeat. There is no order involved,  you do not wait for the other team. Supposed to be a rapid fire game. Once the team has made all cups, a rebuttal can be made if all cups are flipped in 1 turn and then one cup is made in one attempt (They only have to make one cup no matter how many are left). If that rebuttal is made, the cup made stays and the teams continue (With 1 team refilling their last Beer Pong cup).

Game Over When: One team sinks all their opponents' cups.

Special/Optional Rules: With only four players, it is better to play straight up Beer Pong. When a cup is made, both teams race in flip cup. If the shooting team wins the race, the cup is good and the ball returns to the shooter.
