Out of Context?
Whew! I'm certainly glad to hear the "snippets" from the OWU administration "in context."

The messaged saying "This blog entry is completely misinformed and misrepresentation of the facts. If the blogger would like to contact me personally, I would be more than willing to give him/her the facts regarding this issue."

ourOWU.com started in the beginning of the semester because so many students felt the administration was not listening to them and their concern. It is designed to allow students of Ohio Wesleyan to discuss issues, complaints, special occasions, or anything else that pertains to student life at OWU. In fact, the site is intended to give students a voice in the administration of the university by providing a web space for students to state their opinions to not only each other, but also to the world, specifically incoming students.

All we have to fear is repetition itself, because we are the people we've been waiting for to tear down that wall of endless repetition of student life concerns: dorms, off-campus food points, retention rates, admission selectivity and WSCA money for organizations not necessarily endorsed by the student body....like the Mocha Club.

There's a healthy amount of shall we say -- skepticism -- between administration and students...i know what you are thinking...for a college campus that's news. but why does it have to end like Lisa Ho's email "Please remove this post from your site?" Does an administrator really want a perspective and facts suppressed just because it does coincide with the administration one...?

We can post, in fact we encourage, a different perspective on the issue as long as it is considerate, respectful and based on verified facts. Not in selective account of the facts.
