Religious Folk (Pot) Call Scientologists (Kettle) a Cult (Black)
A recent UWeekly article highlighted the recent trend of people against The Church of Scientology. The trend has reached OSU's campus with fliers and handouts designed to attack the church and its beliefs. The group of anti-Scientologists are against the practices of the church and the fact that it is considered a religion.

Scientology is founded by Ron Hubbard in relatively recent times. The religion caught fire when many famous people such as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Though these famous people are well respected, the religion has been called a cult and a way for Hubbard to make money.

It is pretty safe to say that the majority of the protesters against Scientology are Christians (based on Ohio's demographic) or at least some sort of religious affiliation. These (more than likely Christian) protesters are calling Scientology a cult? What do you call millions of people gathering in so-called "holy" places at a generally standardized time and worshiping something they can't: hear, see, feel or touch? That might fall under the category of cult.

Christians tried to do the same thing to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster in Kansas. His Noodly Appendage overcame the attacks and still rides high today; Scientology will probably have a similar fate.

Give it up Christians, the Crusades are over.
