The Little Paper That Could...Offend Everyone On Campus
My, the unsuspecting freshmen will be surprised when something like this arrives in the mail from Northwestern's The Chronicle:

Being of Irish descent, I find the Notre Dame team name and mascot overtly
derogatory…Since "fighting Irish" no longer applies to Irish Americans, Notre
Dame should modify their mascot so that it reflects a member of the Irish
Republican Army. Then the term would apply.

Don’t fret, youngsters. Not all Northwesterners are nuttier than a pecan pie. That’s just The Chronicle, a campus paper that prides itself on giving the “other” side of the story. And you should read “other” as criminally insane.

The Chronicle is known for its stories that promote an agenda that is just to the right of Ron Paul.

It also covers campus goings-on that are really pertinent to the student body. For example, one writer was offended by nude statues in the school’s art museum.

Or another called the Vagina Monologues “vulgar.” In a “news” article. Right. And trickle-down economics work. Just ask the people from New Orleans.
