Five ways to beat the parking system on campus (easiest to hardest):

1.) Corners and Dark Areas:
Grab a friends old permit from last semester and put it on your mirror like normal. Then when looking for parking, try to find hard to get to spots in corners that parking cops won’t want to try to get to. If they only see the back of your permit from their truck, they won’t be able to see the date and they will just pass you by. But, be careful, if they get you once, they will put you on their “black list” and look for you for the rest of the year.

2.) Day Passes:
Try to accumulate like 10 to 15 day passes (the paper ones) and just keep them on your dash board. I have been informed by different people that this tactic works. Just have a bunch of old day passes kinda bunched together and the parking pricks will be overwhelmed with decision making and just cruise by.

3.) Temp Parking:
This one only pertains to certain campuses with certain hourly parking systems. If your campus has temp parking where you get an hour pass from a machine where you have to put what number spot you are in, just park there. Don’t get the pass from the machine and the parking pansies won’t check your spot because the machine will not inform them anyone is in that spot. One source told me this worked for over 7 months!

4.) Scheduled Moves:
This is where your dedication steps up to a new level. Park somewhere in the morning and after like two classes, go back and move to another parking structure. Then, move back in the afternoon. This tactic is mainly based on determining the patterns of the parking pigs and adjusting your moves to it. It takes time and has risk, but with some strategy and balls, you can definitely dodge the ass holes.

5.) The Big One:
This one is for the rebels. Get a holmie with some clean photo shop skills and make that fake permit happen. Don’t get it laminated. Cut strips of clear scotch tape and carefully (VERY CAREFULLY!) put them on it and bam, you got yourself a pass. But this one obviously has the highest risk. For our school, it is a 500 dollar fine.
