On September 23, 2000 during a football game against Ohio State, Penn State cornerback Adam Taliaferro suffered a spinal cord injury that ended his football career. In the days after the injury, Taliaferro was given a three percent chance of ever walking again. But in 2001, Taliaferro ran onto the field at Beaver Stadium leading the team in the first game of the season. And tomorrow, almost eight years after his injury he will graduate from Rutgers School of Law - Camden. If Taliaferro's story doesn't inspire you then you're dead inside. Not only has the man proven the doctors wrong by running onto a football field less than a year after fracturing his vertebra, but now he's receiving his law degree and already has a job lined up with the law firm Montgomery McCracken in Philadelphia. And while Taliaferro says he wants to learn all parts of law, he says "representing athletes is something I want to keep in the back of my mind."
So, next time you want to complain about how tough your workload is, or that you can't handle 15 credits ... SHUT UP!

I was at the game when Adam led the team onto the field. The crowd went absolutely wild. It was an incredibly emotional moment.

a great story for a player who had his football career cut way too short
