"Dude, this is a lot of work just for a bow for your daughter's present."
UC Berkeley is apparently negotiating a partnership agreement with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Berkeley would help KAUST hire professors, and the two universities would collaborate on research.
In case you haven't heard of KAUST, here's an excerpt from their mission statement (from King Abdullah):
"As a new 'House of Wisdom,' the University shall ...serve the people of the Kingdom and benefit all the peoples of the world in keeping with the teachings of the Holy Quran, which explains that God created mankind in order for us to come to know each other."I'm sure this university is legit and all, but...umm...what? Props for creating the university, Abdullah, but could you lighten up a bit? Admit it. You just want to see those scantily clad coeds you've been hearing about. Word of advice: You should probably let women leave the house without a burqa, or your ABC parties are gonna be really lame.
You couldn't just wait for your 72 virgins?
