So says Young America's Foundation, the founders of the (sigh) 9/11Never Forget Project and authors of the oh-so-appealing catchline of the group, "The Conservative Movement Starts Here." The group's collection of sensible if ill-timed analyses of the attacks once again proves that conservatives are better at never forgetting than the pinko libs who would have pushed those towers over had the terrorists not crashed planes into them first.

Not that they're perpetuating the politicization of the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil and tragic loss of 3,000 American civilians or anything like that.

The group is responsible for the 3,000 flags on Bascom Hill, which would seem an appropriate and touching gesture with any other sponsorship. The moment of silence/prayer cheesily occured at 9:11 a.m., apparently to commemorate the 25-minute anniversary of the actual time the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center.

It is a fact that society tends to move beyond tragedy. However, society is in no danger of forgetting an event as momentous as September 11, especially not merely six years later.

Pray for the victims of the attacks. It's a sad day.
