This past Thursday, millions of people celebrated Thanksgiving. Besides food and family, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings and express how thankful we are for whatever we hold dear. As members of the Nittany Nation, there is no doubt, we have to be thankful for this football team.
The 2008 edition of the Nittany Lions will go down as one of the greatest teams in the school's history. This team gave us new hope for the program with an offensive unit that was one of the most prolific and most complete units in the nation, a defense that has added to the reputation of Penn State as being Linebacker U, and major victories in a season where dreams came true.
The only way we can show our gratitude for the team is if we show our support for the seniors in their future endeavors and the underclassmen in the continuation of their careers at Penn State. Being a part of this is something few teams and fans experience and for that, I am very thankful.
The Lions will be heading to California in January to play in the Rose Bowl and, though we can't
be sure of the outcome of that game, the fact remains, this team gave us one hell of a regular season.
