The silence on the Austin Scott situation coming out of Penn State is deafening. JoePa would only go so far as saying Scott "is very much in doubt as far as playing." But reports are that Scott's locker has been cleared out, and The Collegian is reporting his mother as saying he was kicked off the team, but is back on campus to attend classes today.

JoAnn Scott, Austin's mother, is quoted in today's Collegian as saying:
"It kinda, like, blindsided him," she said. "He doesn't really feel that he did anything that was worthy of being kicked off the team. I don't know all the rules and regulations of the team. I'm not sure if he's correct in his assumption of that."

Best case scenario: it looks like Scott was out beyond curfew after JoePa has already cracked down on the team. So he shouldn't really be surprised. Worst case: he's going to have to be worried about alot more than being kicked off a football team.
