Penn St. Basketball has not had a solid team since the years with the twins (Crispin Brothers), when we made the tournament and were actually somewhat decent. Because of the lack of success the Nittany Lions have had at basketball, the team is ranked in the lower half of the Most Prestigious Basketball Programs. This ranking was done by ESPN.com and is based on a scoring system. Other schools around Penn St. ranking:
T-181. Arizona State, Pac-10
T-181. Long Beach State, Big West
T-183. Hofstra, Colonial
T-183. UNC-Asheville, Big South
T-185. Cleveland State, Horizon
T-185. McNeese State, Southland
T-185. Penn State, Big Ten
T-185. South Carolina, SEC
T-189. Central Connecticut State, Northeast
T-189. Toledo, MAC
That's right kids, we are behind schools like Long Beach State and McNeese State.
This is just another list showing how bad Penn St. Basketball has been in the past 25 years, and by losing Claxton last year, the upcoming years aren't looking promising.
