All wordplay aside, previously mentioned local band Butterfly Assassins is on a roll this year. First, they won Battle of the Bands and now their song "Sylvia II" has been chosen for the Niteskool music video.

With a budget of over $12,000, the music video generally includes some pretty insane effects; the last two years have birthed a warehouse full of zombies and a rooftop car crash, for example. The song is good (listen to it on their myspace page), which is kind of bad news bears for the kids on set - an incessantly catchy song plus constant playback does not a fun weekend make.

What's next? Butterfly Assassins will be opening for Girl Talk on January 25th as well as finishing their album in the coming months before shooting the music video in April. Guess it's lucky for the other bandmates that bassist Danny Yadron goes to Northwestern, otherwise they'd all be cockblocked from this plethora of opportunity.
