Come To Penn State For The Overpriced Education, Stay For The Single Digit Temps In February

Morning temps in the single digits, unplowed parking lots and pathways, girls dragging their sweatpants through snow and puddles, and slippery floors in Willard. Yup, it's finally really winter here at Penn State. Bet you people that could have gone to school in a warmer climate are really loving that decision now. Btw, it's 72 degrees and sunny at the Arizona State University right now, so suck on that for a while.

If you drive onto campus you saw the conditions of the Bryce Jordan Center parking lot this morning ... horrible. It looked like they got every vehicle the university owns and ran around the parking lot, packing down all the snow. But what was probably worse was the lack of visible lines to show where people should park. So as you can imagine it was basically a cluster**** of cars either parked right on top of each other or parked right on what would be a parking line with not enough space to fit your car in between.

Once on campus, things didn't improve all that much. While the major walkways were passable, some of the other sidewalks had yet to see a shovel or snow-thrower. I understand this is a big campus, but if you're not going to cancel or delay the opening of school can you at least give me a sidewalk to walk on without fear of falling on my ass (like this girl).

Obviously this is just becoming a post where I bitch and moan (hence the category selection), but why do you girls insist on wearing pants that are too long for you? You're dragging the bottom of the pants all over campus. On a dry day I guess the worst thing that happens is you fray your pants. But on a day like today you're dragging it through snow and salt and water and god knows what. Doesn't this just drastically increase your laundry?

OK, last thing and I swear I'll quit my weather related rant for today. How many times did you almost fall once you were finally in your building today? Obviously because the school did a bang up job on clearing the snow, students were dragging snow and dirty water all through the buildings on campus -creating numerous opportunities for slip and fall lawsuits. So, in essence, the lack of proper snow removal created a domino effect today that basically just pissed me off (hopefully I'm not the only psycho).

But they probably have problems in Tempe, Az too, right? RIGHT?
