Golden State vs. Dallas
Stanford vs. USC
Rocco Mediate vs. Tiger Woods
I am a golf fan. More precisely, I enjoy watching some of my favorite golfers like Kenny Perry, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, and Tiger's Dominance. The U.S. Open made it's case being the best golf tournament in the world by showing a David vs. Goliath ultimate fight between the Pittsburgh Kid Rocco Mediate and the best athlete in the world Tiger Woods. I got the chance to watch Monday's final round, which lived up to all the hype as the day before had.
This is why we watch sports. This is why someone who has not followed a Golden State Warriors or Dallas Mavericks game all year, just to see the chance for the #8 seed to take down the #1 seed. We love upsets.
Rocco proved he was no David by the end of the 91st hole on Monday. He gave Tiger everything he had, and 19 holes more. Kudos to the USGA and these two great golfers.
