We love funny movies. We love the new-age comedies that involve actors like Ferrell, Rogan, and Carrell doing stupid shit that really is only funny because of how the actor makes the stupid shit look. Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin, Super Bad, Knocked Up: All comedies of this new age that have done so well and many people seem to enjoy.
But there are the movies that are similar in style that seem to slip through. One involving an actor that many loved from Thank You for Smoking and more recently as Harvey Dent from The Dark Knight. I don't think anyone would ever see Aaron Eckhart being like a Ferrell, Carrell, or Rogan. But in Meet Bill, that is exactly who he is.
Meet Bill stars Eckhart as a married man who hates his job, has his wife cheat on him, and seems to have everything to lose. But through swimming, shaving, and a donut factory, that all changes. He turns into a man of his own, with the help of co-stars Logan Lerman, who plays a witty 15 year old, and Jessica Alba, who plays a sexy lingerie saleswoman (no, you do not get to see her in her Undies). From pot to fireworks, these two co-stars help Bill turn his life around and make him become his own man. If you liked the movies mentioned above, I think you will love Eckhart in this one.
