Gridiron Bash "Postponed" - a.k.a. Cancelled

Gridiron Bash "Postponed" - a.k.a. Cancelled
So, forget seeing Fergie at Beaver Stadium April 18, because according to Penn State Live, the Gridiron Bash has been postponed. But it's not just effecting Penn State, the Gridiron Bash was supposed to happen on the same day on 16 college campuses ... not any more. Something didn't seem right about this from the start.

Well, JoePa won't have to worry about some skank messing up field anymore because a "recent ruling by the NCAA prohibits student-athlete participation in the Gridiron Bash, which was an integral and established part of the event for fans, concert performers and sponsors." They've stopped selling tickets for the event at this point, and starting on Monday people can get refund info from gopsusports.com.

It looks like the $1 million scholarship that was going to go to the school with the highest amount of text message votes is going to be "postponed" as well since the press release says people "who participated in the text voting aspect of the competition, in which people were asked to cast votes for the school of their choice to help determine the winner of the scholarship money, will not be charged."

Fortunately it appears that everything else scheduled for the Blue White weekend is a go. I know you were really looking forward to seeing the winner of the Blue & White Rapper Contest.
