Really? No news on this? OK, well thankfully here I am.
So, it seems fitting that after so many drinking and ... ahem .. other problems with the football team, the mascot would get a DUI. I'm just waiting for the inevitable pictures of the cheerleaders in compromising positions.
On November 22 at 3:15am, just a few hours before Penn State beat Michigan State to earn a berth to the Rose Bowl, James Sheep, who may be better known as the Nittany Lion mascot, was charged with DUI by University Park police.
In the report by the Associated Press, police allegedly saw Sheep driving a car that was overloaded with passengers. When they pulled him over he failed some sobriety tests and was taken to the hospital for blood work where he was charged with DUI.
Now it's questionable if he will travel with the team to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. But I have to assume there's some backup Nittany Lion to take the trip.
Here's the most shocking thing about this whole thing. Doesn't he do push-ups after each Penn State score? Well, Penn State beat Michigan State 49-18 in a game that started less than 12 hours after Sheep's arrest. There is no way in hell I would be able to do one push-up after a night of drinking. Not one! He's a beast. There I said it.

Stumble It

I think this explains a whole lot about the Nittany Lion's DUI arrest.

And as far as the picture you've posted goes, I don't think it was Sheep in the costume. My guess is that it was this guy.
