Another aspect of college life is staying up late to do work of whatever we do after the midnight hour. I get the feeling that no one in college really cares about Letterman or Leno because we are all still doing things at 11:35pm and it is still early in the evening to us. By the time we sit down, its after midnight and the best television out there after midnight is in the form of late night talk shows. Conan O' Brien has been a staple of Late Night for over 20 years. First starting his show with co-host Andy Richter, Late Night has evolved as one of the more popular (and funnier) talk show hosts in our era. But of course, Conan wants the primetime spot. For that reason, a number of years ago himself and NBC agreed to a contract that would move his show to the 11:35 slot in 2009. With this news, the big question has been..
WHO WILL TAKE OVER LATE NIGHT!
Well that question has been answered with former Saturday Night Live star Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon hasn't really done much since his SNL days. He has starred in a couple movies (Fever Pitch, Taxi) but a lot of people believe this will be a great gig for him. I definitely agree. He was awesome on SNL and will continue that trend with Late Night. NBC seems to be catering to the young adults of America with moving Conan up now and bringing in a young star in the likes of Fallon.
CBS on the other hand...Craig Fergueson...I don't watch this show because I can't understand a damn word he says...They should go back to the days of Craig Kilbourn.
