Oregon State May Play at Penn State in 2008 ... Beaver Jokes To Ensue
The Corvallis Gazette Times is reporting that the Oregon State Beavers may play at Beaver Stadium next season in a non-conference game, dropping Idaho from their schedule. Like there aren't enough "you go down on Beaver" jokes at Penn State already? Now we have a team called the Beavers playing at Beaver Stadium? Let's hope the medics are prepared with oxygen for all the people doubled over with laughter.

Penn State still hasn't announced their opponent for their September 20 game, and Oregon State is scheduled to play at Idaho on that same day, so it seems like a good fit. Plus, even though Penn State isn't much to visit, it's got to be better than Idaho.

Nothing will be announced until the Pac-10 athletics directors approve whatever changes Oregon State is working on, which will probably by December 11.

But Oregon State athletic director Bob De Carolis' quote in the story makes us wonder if September 20 is the date the game would be played if in fact the changes are made. “We have a lot of things on the table, but unfortunately some of that involved moving a lot of teams in conference and out of conference,” De Carolis said.

If they're just dropping Idaho and Penn State has an open date, why would they have to make such changes?
