Pittsburgh Officially Not That Bad as Summer Festival Comes To Town
Someone wrote about this earlier in the week but you didn't read it did you? No, of course not, I'm your favorite blogger. Anyway, summertime is the best time of year when it comes to live music with tons of festivals all over the country. But for the most part Pennsylvania has been out of the mix. Chicago has Pitchfork and Lollapalooza, Tennessee has Bonnaroo and New York City (OK, New Jersey) has All Points West. But now Pennsylvania finally has a festival to call our own with the New American Music Union festival in Pittsburgh. WHOA? Wait, seriously? Pittsburgh?

The two-day festival is being hosted (whatever that means) by Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is sponsored by American Eagle and will take place August 8 & 9 at SouthSide Works in Pittsburgh. And if you ask me, the lineup is TEH AWESOMES! Check it out:

Bob Dylan
, The Raconteurs, The Black Keys, Gnarls Barkley, The Roots, Spoon, Black Mountain, The Duke Spirit (who I recommend btw), NASA (I have no clue who this is), Tiny Masters of Today and some various college bands. Oh and while it doesn't say it I have to assume the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be involved.

But wait, things get better because while regular tickets go for $49.50, student tickets are being sold for $25. Tickets for both days went on sale last Friday and I have no idea what this venue is like so I would suggest getting them quickly.

So who wants to take a trip to Pittsburgh with me?
