Something seemed fishy about this whole Mike Gravel thing to begin with. And sure enough, it's not happening. The Collegian Online is reporting that Gravel's wife is speaking at the HUB auditorium instead of the presidential also-ran. Guess that whole "crazy old grandpa" quote did come back to haunt you Enrique.

Enrique Ortiz, President of the College Dems seems a little bit upset with the last minute change of speakers. The Collegian got in touch with him at a North Carolina airport where he's quoted as saying "This is ridiculous. It's a joke." Ortiz is also upset they shelled out $300 for Gravel to show up.

$300! No wonder the guy isn't showing up. You're basically telling him he's as valuable as a Nintendo Wii with Guitar Hero III ... which is arguable probably.
