Sexual Assault: Oh, You Know, It's Not THAT Serious
A Davis man was convicted of 8 felonies and two misdemeanors including two counts of assault with intent to commit rape, two counts of burglary, and four counts relating to the possession and sale of controlled substances. That last one may actually explain a lot. He apparently hopped into two apartments through open windows and hopped into bed with women and attempted to rape them. Again: the drugs probably explain a lot. He faces life in prison and his sentencing is on Friday.

His attorney, one Lisa Lance, was quoted as saying, "Obviously, we're disheartened that somebody like this could go to prison for life". Now, I'm probably not someone with a GREAT moral compass, but what this guy did was pretty ****ed up. And what does this mean when she says "somebody like this"? If she means someone who tried to rape two people and had copious amounts of drugs on him, then yes I can see that person going to jail for life. However, if she means someone who carries copious amounts of drugs and tried to unsuccessfully rape two girls, then...oh wait, no, yeah I'm pretty sure he should be locked away for a long time.

P.S. Thanks Aggie for an informative story (not kidding!).
