Soccer On The HUB's Big Screen? What Country Is This Again?

Soccer On The HUB's Big Screen? What Country Is This Again?
In case you can't tell, these people are watching soccer on the HUB's big screen TV. I don't have a problem with sports being shown on that television. Last semester when the Phillies were in the playoffs I watched a game in between some classes. And since most people still don't get the Big Ten Network it's a good spot to watch some of the PSU football games shown on BTN. But soccer? Seriously? I mean I'm all for watching something besides Headline News every once in a while, but soccer ... no.

This is at least the second time I've seen soccer on the HUB's big screen TV. Actually, now that I think of it, there's a small television near the HUB's auditorium (near Old Coaly) that always has soccer on, which I've found odd. But is soccer really gaining that much popularity. I know it's "the most popular sport in the world," but this ain't the rest of the world.

So what does it take to get a channel changed on that TV anyway? Because if these folks can watch Manchester United verses Barcelona, maybe I can get Lost on when it returns tomorrow night!

I love Lost as much as the next guy, but you can't argue with Man United.

All of those people seem to be intently watching, so maybe you have to get 40 people who REALLY want to watch Lost over soccer and get the channel changed. or make everyone happy and call the Lost people and tell them to play soccer on the beaches. ;P
