That's a big beaver ya got there mister!
Last month's rumor that we told you about, that the Oregon State Beavers would be coming to Penn State to take on the Nittany Lions has been made official. This means the game with Sunbelt Conference powerhouse, Arkansas State will now be replaced with Oregon State Sept. 6. Don't worry though, Coastal Carolina and Temple are still on the schedule for next year.
As we told you last month, there would have to be some schedule changes on both Penn State and Oregon State's part in order to make this work. In the press release today, Penn State athletic director Tim Curley thanks Arkansas State for "adjusting their schedules in order to provide Oregon State with the opportunity to play in Happy Valley next season." But Run Up The Score is reporting that it was actually Arkansas State who wanted to change the game, not Penn State. Interesting.
Unlike a lot of marquee opponents for Penn State has played in the past (Notre Dame, Syracuse Virginia) this appears to be a one time match-up, with no trip to Corvallis planned.
Now we just have to schedule a game against South Carolina to fulfill the games against colleges with genitalia nicknames.
