Wait ... It Get's Better. Obama's Coming Too

Well, I guess I should have waited a little before I wrote that post about all the people coming to Penn State in the next two weeks, because while you were busy not voting in today's UPUA election, the word got out that Barack Obama will be coming here this weekend and speaking on the Old Main lawn on Sunday. I think my head my explode.

According to the CDT, Obama plans to start a "Road to Change" bus tour on Friday that will travel across the state. The word coming out of someone in the Obama camp is that the presidential hopeful will be stopping in State College Saturday night and possibly speak on the Old Main lawn, depending on the weather - which according to weather.com should be 43 degrees and partly cloudy.

As I've written on paprimary.com, I think a lot of people are underestimating the Obama campaign in Pennsylvania. I can only speak for what I've seen in State College, but the Obama followers are not the "kids" that the Clinton campaign thinks they are. Plus, with 111,000 new democratic voters registered in the last few months, anything can happen.

So, even though Centre County, and State College as a whole might seem like a given for Obama, I don't think it's that easy, and I would assume we'll see more of the candidates (or their family members) in the upcoming weeks.

So, finally this thing is shaping up to be what I thought it was going to be all along. Presidential candidates pandering to me ... finally!
