Summer is a time for movies. Blockbuster hits that grosses hundreds of millions of dollars. Last year, it was all about Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Carribean, Oceans 13, Superbad, Knocked Up, and Transformers. So many star studded movies that many of which were very good. But what is to look forward to this summer?
Quite possibly. one of the biggest movies has already his us with the surprisingly popular Ironman. And I think just about everybody is looking forward to the Batman sequel The Dark Knight. Other notables: Sex and the City and Indy Jones. But after that...it's kind of a downfall. Here is a look at some movies coming to your theatre soon:
You Don't Mess With the Zohan: The newest Adam Sandler movie starts this weekend, and seems like an attempt to return to Sandler's former acting style: Playing dumb, but funny characters. Will this be funny though? He plays an agent who fakes his death to re-emerge as a hair stylist. Kind of a lame plot line...It comes out this weekend.
The Love Guru: Not falling far behind Zohan, this movie has a seemingly terrible plot line with Mike Myers trying to play a "Love Doctor". But lucky for male movie fans, Jessica Alba stars in this as well...so there is some reason to go see it.
Hancock: Everybody loves a great Will Smith movie. We got that last christmas with I Am Legend. And now he is back, with a "Superhero" flick. I am looking forward to this because I have a Big Willie Style Hard One for all his movies, and because Jason Bateman is in it. This has potential.
The Incredible Hulk...Again: Wasn't this just made a few years ago, and didn't do very well at all. Now they are trying again with Edward Norton as the Hulk. I haven't been a fan of him since Fight Club, but I love seeing movies so maybe I'll give it a shot.
So there are just a few of the movies coming out this summer. Definitely a step back from last summer, but they can't all be good.
