New Jersey Bans Death Penalty

New Jersey Bans Death Penalty
Good news for all you Death Row inmates currently in college: New Jersey has become the first state in like, almost forever to ban the death penalty. Though the state hasn't killed anyone since 1963, it's no good to have a law hanging over the heads of convicted inmates.

The New York Times reported that "the death penalty was a more expensive sentence than life in prison, hasn't deterred murder, and risks killing an innocent person." If only the other half of the country could see these simple facts. Either way, liberals on campus should be happy this week.
