Princeton Hikes the Price
Princeton has officially jacked up the already exorbitant price of admission by 3.9%. According to the website, this brings the tally to: "$34,290 for tuition, a 3.9 percent increase from $33,000 in 2007-08; $6,205 for room, up 3.8 percent from $5,980; and $5,200 for board, an increase of 4 percent from $5,000".

In a masterful use of spin, Princeton's website proudly lists this as a headline, boasting of how it's the smallest percentage increase in years. Granted, the financial aid spending has been increased 7%. For those students not on financial aid, however, their parents will just have to bite the bullet.
