The beginnings of greatness.
Because Princeton students like nothing better than to prove their amazingness to the rest of the world, the Class of 2008 has decided to break a Guiness Book of World Records record. This is class president Tom Haine's ambitious, overachieving brain child. A leader of Princeton Pro-Life, Haine is known for his profound brilliance like the "Class of 2010 - We honor the memory and mourn the loss of those 347 innocents killed in the womb by abortion, who would have been part of Princeton's class of 2010" sign his group put up two years ago during Pre-frosh weekend.
At least Haine doesn't plan to set a record for most unborn fetuses saved. Instead, he's settling for the world's longest paper clip chain. The competition is a mere 22.17 mile long chain constructed by 60 ninth graders in 24 hours. Given that the class of 2008 has a good 20 times more people with three years' practice pulling all-nighters, odds look good. But before you get excited, the Guiness Book of World Records needs to approve the idea, since apparently you just can't have too many people running around trying to set world records every day.
