Say it with me now, Victory!!!
The 91% of the nation that ESPN’s bottom line showed voting for Florida in the Capital One Bowl can suck my balls. The spread developers can take their 10 ½ points and shove it up their assess. And finally, the Michigan fans who tried protecting themselves by saying to their Florida friends that they think Michigan will lose (you know who you are), you don’t deserve this victory.
Michigan came out of the gates with fire, aggression, and even some trickery (though some of it came back to bite us). Never knew Lloyd had it in him, but you can’t hold anything back in your last game ever. After pulling ahead 28-14 early in the second half, Michigan fans had a bitter taste in their mouths as Florida stormed back to a 35-31 lead. When Mike Hart doubles his career total for fumbles lost in one game, things look pretty bleak. Thankfully Adrian Arrington was there to save the day on a few great passes from Chad Henne, and Michigan took the game in the Gator’s home state, 41-35.
It looks like my old reverse psychology prediction worked out for the best. Maybe this victory is enough to convince Terrelle Pryor to hop on the Michigan bandwagon. While the seniors never won against Ohio State, perhaps beating the team that embarrassed them in last season’s national championship is enough. In any case, it’s enough for me.
