Newsflash: Farmers Sell Really Fresh Produce
This is just a heads up for anyone who hasn't been to the Columbia Farmers' Market yet.

Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. more than 30 vendors set up camp just behind the Area Recreation Center to sell the week's produce. The goods vary from honey ice cream to hot peppers to baked goods, and are sold for far less than even the markdowns at Schnuck's and Gerbes. (Read: squash and eggplant sold for as little as $.25 a piece, watermelons for $3, fresh mint and basil for $1 a bundle.)

If that's not good enough, just go for the samples; they're even better than noon on Saturday at Sam's Club.
