UGA Legend Larry Munson Retires

UGA Legend Larry Munson Retires

It looks like the Dawgs will have to blackout against Alabama this weekend without one of their biggest fans cheering them on. Larry Munson, the legendary radio announcer, said today that he will be retiring immediately. At 85, he is finally calling it a career on the radio. He has been the loudest and most energetic supporter of UGA football for many years.

It didn't matter what the score was or how the season was going, he cheered on the Dawgs with passion every Saturday. While he will certainly be missed, let's not forget this attitude. The season is only going to get tougher each week from here on out, and our team needs all the support we can give. Whether or not we have the perfect season we all want, don't be fair-weather fans. Appreciate all the good times our football team has brought us-and hopefully will bring us the rest of the season.

With the blackout already planned for Saturday, let's make it one to remember. Not just for the team, but for Larry too.
