Standford made the spotlight tonight with a monumental upset, Notre Dame finally won a game, but Purdue on the other hand, failed to deliver. The 5-0 Boilermakers seem to have started out the year strong with an impressive offense line, and tonight's game against Ohio State was highly anticipated by players and fans alike.
The nation watched tonight on ABC, but the Boilermakers' performance was disappointing.
Things were already looking down after Purdue's second first down, and the team was unable to recover after two touchdowns by OSU in the first quarter alone.
So much for upsetting "the best teams out there." The Purdue offense wasn't even close to a touchdown until the fourth quarter, when Purdue finally scored a touchdown in the last ten seconds... Not very exciting.
So much for putting "Purdue on the map for this season." The team will most likely be out of the map soon for the rest of this season.
So much for "winning the Big Ten." Sorry Coach Tiller, but at least this wasn't 2002 2.0.
