Food Review: Lemongrass

Food Review: Lemongrass
Ever since the Union construction/remodeling of dining places started last semester, people have been eager for the new shops to open.

Today, Lemongrass finally opened its gates to students and faculties.

The place has one noodle station and one stir-fry station, "featuring wok-fired entrees and Pho soups, emphasizing vegetables, sauces and spices found primarily in Thailand and Vietnam."

For starters, the decor and design looks very fresh and modern, complete with soft spotlights and club-esque color-changing wall panels.

Now, only if the food tasted as good as the place looked.

Even though the food is suppose to be Thailand/Vietnam oriented, it tastes/looks like Chinese take-out ---- not very good Chinese take-out. And since when is "General Tso's Chicken" Vietnamese? Also, the portion for a $4.25 entree is comparable to that of an appetizer: not filling at all.

So bottom line is, do your homework at Lemongrass and skip the food.

Wow! Not only do you not read the menu...but General Tso's is listed under Asian Favorites you really aren't a very fair critic since you couldn't even give details of what you disliked about the food. Not only does Lemongrass serve delicious food, it has an incredible following/repeat customers, who rave about it, great prices that students can afford, and, portions...you've never seen larger portions for the money. So, do YOUR homework! Come check out Lemongrass for yourselves and leave this amateur critic eating his words. Posted 04/13/2008 08:16 AMReply

The soup station is amazing (pho). I would eat there daily if possible. Absolute best restaurant in the union. Posted 11/09/2009 10:44 AMReply
