Shame on you; shame on all of you that did not cheer the Buckeyes off the field on Saturday night. The Buckeyes lost to Illinois, that's true. That does not, however, mean you should boo them when they leave the field (especially on Senior Night).
A few dejected fans did just that, though. After the 28-21 loss, the Shoe was in devastation. Some fans decided that it would be best to boo the team off the field, rather than realize what the Buckeyes have accomplished: 10 wins and a BCS berth with a win next week over Michigan.
Why boo? What does it do for you? Does it really help a team that might end up in the Rose Bowl?
It is a sad sight to see ignorant, fair-weather fans get tickets and yet die-hards are sitting at home in agony. It just isn't right. People in the stands need to realize that, yes, OSU did lose, but you should never boo your own team. Act like you have at least a little class and dignity. Act like you truly care and maybe, just maybe, you will care a little more. Take pride in what we have accomplished and take pride in what we may still attain. Work to get away from the stigma about OSU fans.
So shame on those who decided to boo; hopefully you realize the err in your ways and strive to be a better fan in the future.
