You’re never too old to chase your dreams: just look at Kimberlee Ouwroulis, a Canadian stripper who only started straddling poles four years ago at age forty. Now, Ouwroulis is suing her former employer, though, for supposedly firing her following comments from customers that she was “old and ugly.” She considers this age discriminatio and is demanding approximately $100,000 in damages, claiming she earned about $8,000 per month stripping. According to Ouwroulis, you aren't too old until a fall from the pole breaks your hip.

Fox News reports:

A Canadian exotic dancer has filed an age discrimination suit against a Toronto-area strip club, saying she was fired because she is 44 years old, The National Post reported.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis, who began stripping when she was 40, says the manager at New Locomotion strip club sat her down on June 6 and said, "Your time is up here," the Post reported.

When she asked if it was because of her age, he allegedly told her another older woman had been fired the same day, and the club was going for a younger look. Ouwroulis says she would like to continue stripping until she is 47 or 48.

Ouwroulis told the Post that while the job is about looks, it is also about personality and attitude, all of which made her a great dancer. She has filed an age discrimination complaint to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

She is currently working at another strip club as a dancer.

Ouwroulis told the National Post, “I don't know what society views as sexy. All I know is that people like different things, and my look was popular, and still is with my new customers. Every customer should have a choice --mature dancers, younger dancers, blond, brunette, black, white etc.,” and I’ve got to agree with her. A lot of guys have Oedipal complexes and need a better way of dealing with them than hating on their dads or snuggling with their moms!
