Lawrence Taylor's Son Brandon Headed to Purdue

Purdue football has a fresh reason to be optimistic about their next few seasons. Brandon Taylor, son of hall of fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor has just officially committed to play football for Purdue. Brandon is a defensive tackle and offensive guard at Dr. Michael Krop High in Miami, has over 40 tackles, 7 sacks and a 3.46 GPA.

He visited Purdue this past weekend, and even though they lost to Minnesota during their homecoming game 17-6, announced his commitment that Sunday. Taylor picked Purdue over Central Florida and is reportedly interested in studying sports medicine which is better than “general studies” I suppose. Here’s to hoping his DNA from his father Lawrence will carry the Boilermarkers to better seasons in the future.

LT was the greatest linebacker of all time regardless of what he did off the field. He changed the way the position is played and the way offenses protect the quarterback. If his son has any of his genes he will be a very good ball player. RP Posted 02/04/2009 6:39 PMReply
