Skintight leather. Heads will roll!
Final thoughts: While most college students consider the Xbox to be the Halo-playing machine, I don’t. For me, Ninja Gaiden 1 for the original Xbox offered a much, much more entertaining and visceral experience. I mean – how can you not love a game where you’re a badass ninja in a skintight black leather outfit that’s capable of deflecting bullets with your sword and dismembering enemies with a single swipe? You can’t. You are compelled to love it.
Over the years, Tecmo has released several iterations to Ninja Gaiden 1, including Ninja Gaiden: Black (Xbox 1) and Ninja Gaiden: Sigma (PS3). With each new game came a bevy of new content and additions, such as the playable and way-too-busty-for-words Rachel (pictured above). However, fans kept clamoring for a sequel. Thankfully, Tomonobu Itagaki, the series creator, has heard our prayers, and it’s finally coming on June 3rd for the Xbox 360. Early word from IGN is that it will deliver, even with a somewhat shoddy camera system.
I should probably mention the Nintendo DS game too, but frankly, it doesn’t hold a candle to the console games. You should definitely check it out though, if you have a hard-on for all things Ninja Gaiden. While it’s pretty short, the stylus controls work very well and you still feel like a badass decimating legions of baddies.
Anyway, consider this your public service announcement. Forget Halo 3. Forget going out and enjoying the summer weather. Forget that summer internship you worked so hard to get. Go out next week, pick up Ninja Gaiden 2 and thank God for ridding you of school!
