Everyone probably claims that their school is the greatest party school. With help from MSN Encarta and PubClub.com, we made a list of the eight greatest in the country.
1) State University of New York at Albany. This school has topped many party school lists and has a widespread reputation of being wet and wild, at least in New York. Many students admit that it is it difficult to balance the partying with their studies.
2) University of California-Santa Barbara. The location of the school sets the party scene at Santa Barbara. Being right on the beach allows students to take advantage of the laid-back environment as well as party at Isla Vista, the local student community home to many bars and clubs.
3) Indiana University-Bloomington. Because of the small town and large campus, students claim that all there is to do is party.
4) University of Wisconsin-Madison. State Street is the hot spot for many a party. Students have compared it to Bourbon Street on the weekends.
5) University of Georgia. It has been hailed as “the best college town.” With the bars available to the students, along with the student programming board, there is always something to do.
6) University of Texas at Austin. Probably the most spirited of the bunch, students at the University of Texas take pride in their partying ways. Sixth Street is the place to go and “The Library” is the place to be. The name of the bar will certainly fool parents who wonder how their sons and daughters spend their time.
7) Ohio University. Students here live by the motto “work hard, party harder.” They claim that it is the perfect mix of business and pleasure where they can reward their hard work with lots of partying afterwards.
8) University of Mississippi. About a third of the student body is involved in Greek life so you can imagine the size of the parties and the amount of partying that goes on.
